WHO THE #!@$ are we?

We are Driveway Dive, a local independent DFW rock band based out of Plano, TX. We formed in 2018 when Gabe Gotay, Jacob Essy, and Sebastian Hardy moved in together. While Gabe primarily played guitar, he also had a drum set that he setup in our new garage. While his new roommates were initially annoyed, Jacob quickly picked up the sticks and Sebastian joined soon after on bass. After a few months of jamming, Gabe called his old college friend Joshua Stone to join us as a singer and second guitarist.

We began by playing cover songs at open mics, and quickly found a place in the vibrant and welcoming DFW music scene. Between 2019 and 2022 we played classic rock covers and experimented with writing original music, culminating in an album we released in 2022. Since then, we’ve returned to our cover band roots, and found even greater success when we updated our playlist to ‘90s and ‘00s rock tunes.

We play bars, breweries, venues, charity events, and festivals, and consider ourselves lucky and honored to share our passion with fans of live music. Come check out a show, we’ve heard they’re pretty good!
